What’s gone wrong? – PL Update

Since JOK was sold and Foyle got the curse of MOTM, we’ve played 3 away from home, not scored and conceded 12, yesterday it was Dartford’s turn to beat us, it wasn’t the abject 4-0 of last season nor was it a drubbing as suffered in Luton but a 2-0 defeat is still a defeat. Let’s cheer ourselves up by looking at the prediction league, even if it is awarding points for our misery!

We had 86 predictions for the game, 37% expecting a change in fortunes and happy Hereford fans, 28% thinking a draw would be the end result and the remaining 35% correctly predicting a draw. The most popular score predicted was a 1-1 draw. Of those who predicted the loss, 9 correctly went for the 2-0 defeat, muffled congratulations and 5 points are awarded to DORSET BULL, CROMERBULL, Arch of Lemner, Teesside Bull, Noble Bull, HuddBull, old bull, Giant Anteater, & Nailswortholdbull. 21 further competitors predicted a loss of a different variation. and picked up 3 points before bonuses. Only 14 bonus points were awarded, 4 for the correct number of HUFC goals, 4 for the correct margin of defeat (-2) & 6 who got the score the wrong way around.

The table has it’s movers and shakers, but Kick in the Bulls is still our leader on 117 points, extending his lead due to second place St Albans Bull putting in his first DNC of the season, DORSET BULL is up to third, becoming our 3 centurion, 3 points behind second place on 102 points. Barry the Hatchet jumps 4 places up to fourth & is half a point ahead of fifth place Hereford Bulls 78. The next 15 competitors are separate by only 12 points. Our biggest mover was mikey50boy who jumped 15 positions up the table.

February has been an awful month on the pitch for HUFC, will the final game of the month at home against Macclesfield put a smile back on Bulls fans faces? Well even if it doesn’t we’ve still got to award a monthly prize, so let’s look at the main protagonists for this award. The current leaders are old bull & Giant Anteater how have 13 points so far this February. Nailswortholdbull is a point behind with ngwilliam a further 2 points back, a point ahead of 7 competitors. 68 competitors are still in with a chance of this months prize as we’re still inspiring Bernie Ecclestone with our DOUBLE POINTS ROUND, the next game is Macclesfield is one of these rounds with 10 points available for correct score, predict wisely.

The Table is up to date and in it’s usual spot on our prediction league page. In the meantime why not check out the other items on our website, whether it’s the ACV, corporate membership or maybe you’re interested in joining our working group, all the details are here on our website.
