Round 48 – PL Update

Prediction League has been updated following Friday’s defeat at Tamworth.

69% thought we’d beat already relegated Tamworth, 26% went for a draw & only 4 predictors went for a win for the home team. ngwilliam was the only predictor to pick up 5 points for predicting the correct result. 3 further predictors picked up 3 points before bonuses. 3 predictors got a bonus point for predicting no HUFC goals, 1 for predicting the correct margin (-1) & 19 for predicting the score the wrong way around (the most popular prediction).

The league table is up to date here on the prediction league page. Not a lot of change at the top Kick in the Bulls, DORSET BULL, Barry the Hatchett & fsqatech did not pick up any points but remained in the top 4 positions with Graeme159 breaking back into the top 5. The biggest mover was Chocolate who moved 7 positions up the table. 2 games remain, the final being DOUBLE POINTS.

The table for the month is taking shame with 15 points left to gain. LoopyLou still leads the way with 13 points meaning anyone can still win the monthly prize. ngwilliam is second on 10 points with Credenhillbull only a point further back. 4 competitors are next on 8 points.

Get those predictions in for Alfreton tomorrow before the 3pm kick off. Email PL HQ with predictions@hufctrust.co.uk and your score-line. The team are in desperate need of a win, we’re in desperate need to award points for it. The final game of the season and indeed the prediction league is Saturday against Aldershot. It could be make or break, and determine whether the prediction league was the unlucky item that will forever associated with this terrible season. Not that we’re superstitious!

In HUST news, we’re looking at the possibility of staging a takeover bid, for more details check out our news pages. See you all at the game tomorrow. Let’s pack out Edgar Street and get our voices heard, get behind the boys on the field and hopefully have a fighting chance going into the final game against Aldershot.
