Prediction League Updated After Another Defeat
Firstly, we take no pride in giving anyone a reason to celebrate a defeat, and we hope that no one is proud that they predicted another defeat, something needs to change so if the guys at the top of the table who keep getting the scores right can start predicting a few more HUFC wins, then perhaps fortunes will change on the field! If we had a striker who could score goals, then maybe we’d have at least have gotten a replay from today’s match.
So we have 96 predictions for this final FA Cup DOUBLE POINTS round, 51% correctly predicting that it would be Burton going through to face Fleetwood in the second round. 23 of our competitors thought we could triumph whilst 24 felt that we could bring them back to Edgar Street for another go at qualifying,
Of those who predicted a Brewers win 14 entrants correctly predicted the home side to score 2 and concede none. They all picked up 10 points for this. A further 35 Competitors also predicted a loss using different score-lines, they picked up at least 6 points with bonus points awarded as follows; 13 competitors predicted that HUFC would once again fail to score (We need a Goalscorer!), 12 predictors went for a 3-1 defeat and therefore got the correct margin (-2), whilst 3 entrants went for a 2-0 win for the Bulls (I wish we could live up to their optimism).
So, the table, Barney Rubble still leads the way and has stretched the gap to 3 points after picking up the maximum 10 points on offer, he now leads the way from Terry Jackins, who is on level points with Kick in the Bulls still, as they both over took October’s monthly prize winner ROGER LUNDBERG who now sits fourth ahead of DORSET BULL who is only 5 points off top spot. The biggest mover was castlebull who has moved a massive 32 positions in the table after picking up 10 points with today’s match.
The monthly table since the half points round in the middle of the week has changed to show 3 predictors with their heads above the rest after the 2 games, Singe, Llubyllub & GemmaLou1511 who all have 11.5 points so far this month, the are 1 point ahead of Brian McDermott, there is still 5 games left this month, 1 being the first round of the FA Trophy at the end of the month (maybe our chance to get to Wembley!) which along with the last league game of the month will be, yep you guessed it DOUBLE POINTS!
The current end of season booby prize positions are filled as follows:
TobyGriff13 – 19th Position
thethinbull – 17 points
Stylabull – The lowest ranked continuous competitor
