Prediction League After Cambridge
Yesterday’s defeat to the league leaders Cambridge saw 106 pre match predictions from our competitors, but how did you do?
28% of competitors felt it would be HUFC who would end Cambridge’s undefeated start to the league, sadly this was not to be the case, 27% thought that we could leave the Abbey Stadium with at least one point which was nearly the case going by the last 20 minutes of the game. Sadly none of these predictors were correct, but due to the set up of the prediction league, hope is not lost for these predictors as bonus points are still available to all of them.
Of the remaining 47 competitors, 5 managed to correctly predict the 1-0 defeat with the decisive goal coming after just 7 minutes, these 5 competitors picked up 5 points and are the early leaders in the October league table, which is not surprising after 1 game!
The remaining 42 picked up at least 3 points with the following bonus points awarded;
22 competitors correctly predicted that HUFC lack of goals would continue, 17 predicted a 2-1 loss which was the correct margin of result (-1) & 11 entrants went for a 1-0 away win and this inverse score-line also picked up a bonus point.
The monthly table is fairly simple at this stage, 5 competitors jointly lead the monthly table with 5 points, 37 predictors are in joint 6th place for the month after picking up 4 points, 4 entrant picked up 3 points and sit ahead of the 12 competitors with a single point, the remaining contestants have picked up zero points so far this month.
The overall table has had a bit of a shake up as well with only 8 predictors keeping their previous position. One of these competitors was league leader Barney Rubble who now leads the way from Kick in the Bulls and Hereford Bulls 78, with previous long time leader Beanser announcing that he is taking a hiatus from the league and will continually float down the table unless he begins predicting again. The biggest mover was Llubyllub who moved up a massive 24 positions.
