HUST CALLS FOR CALM!
As the Club moves towards a new managerial appointment we call for calm. We recognise that supporters are frustrated both by our reveal that HFC continues to push back on our requests for more open information and transparency and the added disappointing results on the pitch. We DO NOT condone any attempts by fans to intimidate/abuse/disrespect or otherwise any of the 7 members of either the HFC or HUST Boards. Both Jon Hale and one of our HND’s came under fire at the match against Curzon Ashton on Saturday. All Directors of both HFC and HUST are volunteers and do not deserve to be spoken to, or publicly called out, in this way.
The HUST board would like to thank everyone, both members and non members, who voiced their support at the match yesterday.. It is very clear that we are still a strong, passionate Community Club with lots to be thankful for. We echo Jon Hale in that supporters must be thanked for their incredible efforts in fundraising via the Squad Builder and equally HUST shares (to give us 50% shareholding).
The situation HUST has highlighted to members, in the latest newsletter, is for HUST and HFC to resolve in a professional manner whilst we keep members updated along the way. It would be a sad day should any fan be removed from the stadium, or worse, receive a ban for offensive behaviour towards any member of the Club.
We will continue to carry out the role that we were established for … to protect, defend and promote Supporters interests within Hereford FC.
If you feel passionately about the current situation please join us as we can bring YOUR concerns directly to the Club’s Board, being a bona fide member of HUST, to HAVE YOUR SAY!
The seven HUST Directors, including our 3 HND’s on the HFC Board, will continue to do everything we possibly can to support the Club going forward and for Supporters to be better informed and updated about the Clubs decisions on and off the pitch.
We feel there is an urgent need for fans to join together and be heard. HUST will be calling a Fans Forum within the next few weeks. Watch this space!
In the meantime, if you have any pressing concerns, please email secretary@hust.org.uk
Thank you for your continued support!
