GRIMsby – PL Update

It’s just not looking good. Something good has got to come out of the club soon surely?

We had 84 predictions for this DOUBLE POINTS round, 54% going for a win over the playoff hopefuls, 19% going for honours even & 27% correctly predicted the defeat. Only 1 predictor managed to capitalise fully on the DOUBLE POINTS round Norwegian Bull predicted the 1-0 defeat and got 10 points and entered the 100 club. 22 further entrants went for a defeat of differing proportions, picking up at least 6 points. Bonus points were awarded at 2 a piece to 9 who predicted zero HUFC goals, 10 who predicted the defeat by 1 goal and 10 who got the score the wrong way around. 6 games remain for the season, and HUFC need the points, whilst there is a maximum of 35 pointse still available to achieve before the season end in the prediction league, and hopefully 18 points will be achieved by the Bulls!

The League table is nearing it’s conclusion with a month left to go. 6 games will decide the fate of the inaugural HUST Prediction League, 17 games in a row has seen Kick in the Bulls lead the table and it’s no different at the top after today’s game. He leads by 4 points to DORSET BULL with a further 4.5 points back to Barry the Hatchett in 3rd position. fsqatech has moved up to fourth place with Phylo completing the top 5. The biggest movement was made by both Podge & Newent Bull who made 13 positions worth of a gain up the table. Whilst joining Norwegian Bull as the newest members of the 100 club were DannyHUFC & BenSmithsDislocatedShoulder who have both obtained 3 figures for this season making that 20 competitors for the season.

March has come to a conclusion and it’s been another awful month on the pitch for the Bulls, picking up just 3 points from 7 games and still leaving us with no wins since JOK left the club. But we still award the monthly prize, this month it went to DannyHUFC who picked up 25 points for the month and will be contacted about his monthly prize in due course. He picked up the prize by out predicting fsqatech by 1 point, Singe & ngwilliam achieved joint 3rd spot with 22 points with LoopyLou in 5th with 21 points.
