A Victory Against Lincoln & An Updated Prediction League
The home match last night v Lincoln provided 3 points to the Bulls, but how many points did you get in the HUST Prediction League?
109 of our 131 competitors predicted for this game and 65% correctly predicted a home win. Of the more sceptical amongst our predictors 23 went for a draw & were nearly rewarded if Chris Bush’s deflected shot didn’t hit the back of the net with 5 minutes left to play, whilst the remainder did not feel that we would pick up any points at all.
From those who predicted a win 9 picked up the full 5 points and all moved up positions in the table because of this.
Another 62 competitors picked up 3 points for predicting a victory and 39 of them predicted that the margin of victory would be by 1 goal and got a bonus point on top of the 3 they had already achieved.
25 of those who predicted a draw or loss still obtained 1 bonus point for predicting 1 HUFC goal, whilst Pat Sharp was the only competitor to predict the scoreline the wrong way around – but still gained a bonus point for this.
So our table is now up on the Prediction League page, so you can go up the page, click on the tab and click the table to see how you are getting on.
Beanser has once again extended his lead, which is now up to 8 points, leading the way from Jonny Dangerous who is on a hot streak of form picking up a maximum 15 points from the last 3 games and climbing the table significantly due to this. But can he catch Beanser? Yes – Every player down to 7th position can still claim top spot after the next game on Saturday as this is our second DOUBLE POINTS round, whislt the remainder of the competitors can make significant gains up the table should they correctly predict the result verses Luton at Edgar Street.
In the monthly points table fsqatech still leads the way on 17 points with Jonny Dangerous 1 point behind and league leader Beanser a further point adrift. But with 10 points available on Saturday, 66 of our predictors will still have a chance to win the monthly prize, so do give up on your dream of winning a small HUST related goody!
