UITC Hammer Chelsea In Extra Time

Rob Purdie’s UITC side took their second Premier League scalp of the season by putting Chelsea out of the PLFL National Cup this afternoon.

With the scores level at full time at 2-2, the visitors powered away in extra time knocking in a quartet of goals to win the match 6-2 having beaten Tottenham Hotspur in the last round.

Tom Gameson opened the scoring for the visitors with Matt James restoring their lead after the home side equalised. Gameson added two more to complete his hat-trick in extra time, and Carlos Moreira and Will Lawley also netted.

With HUST sponsoring travel down to Cobham, they were quick to ring Rob Purdie to congratulate the side – and have also treated the squad to a McDonalds on the trip back.
