Trust News Update 19th January
For those unable to attend the Leicester Nirvana game (or buy a programme), here is HUST Treasurer Mike Langford’s regular news update.
PRIZE BULL LOTTERY
The Lottery continues to prosper and just before Christmas the jackpot of £4,500 was won by Jerry McManus, a Hereford supporter who lives in Kings Lynn. Whilst Jerry has not been able to get to a match at Edgar Street this season he follows from afar and supports Hereford FC through his participation in the HUST Prize Bull Lottery. Monies raised from all aspects of fund raising will be used by HUST to purchase shares in Hereford FC and we thank Jerry for his support.
Jerry very kindly donated back £1,000 of his prize back to HUST for share purchase and he will be receiving a commemorative share certificate in due course. A great supporter and we look forward to meeting you at a home game before the season end.
The new jackpot has been set at £1,000 and the draw takes place every Monday evening. You can take part by entering either direct via Paypal or by picking up an entry form at the Reception Desk by Addisons Bar and returning it completed to HUST at Hereford FC, Edgar Street Athletic Stadium, Edgar Street, Hereford HR4 9JU. Please see the Supporters Trust website for full details. You have to be in it to win it and at £4.33 per calendar month, or any 4 from 5 numbers at £21.65 it is good value.
50/50 MATCH DAY DRAW
Many thanks to our magnificent supporters who also continue to support the match day 50/50 draw in great numbers, allowing us to have some excellent cash prizes. The Westfields game produced a prize pool of £1,050 and 4 cash winners plus 2 consolation prizes of 24 cans of Westons Stowford Press cider. Our thanks to Westons Cider.
The prize pool at the Coventry Sphinx game was £750 but 2 of the 4 prizes were not claimed after the match or since. The details are as follows:
Ticket number 12506 wins £200
Ticket number 13328 wins £100
Please search out your tickets and if you have one of the winning numbers please claim your prize after the Alvechurch game on the 23rd January. I pay out the 50/50 Draw prize winners from the reception desk by Addisons Bar in the Starlite Rooms.
My gratitude also goes to our merry band of sellers who come along week after week whatever the weather. So many thanks to Karen, Jean, Nikki, Joanie, Derek, Jeremy, Tom, Andy, Nigel, Ian and his sons Nick and Pete.
The success of the 50/50 Draw means that HUST has so far banked just over £10,000 which will be used to purchase more shares in Hereford FC and further support this incredible new beginning. We hope to be near to £20,000 by the end of the season.
