Trust News – 24th March 2016

For those unable to attend the Salisbury home game (or buy a programme), here is HUST Treasurer Mike Langford’s regular news update.

First Meeting of the new HUST Board

The new HUST Board met in the Edgar Street boardroom in late February when the new and existing board members discussed the way forward. There was great enthusiasm and amongst the many priorities debated and logged for future action was the need for greater interaction with the membership base and the push to increase membership numbers and involvement.

When Hereford United died on the 19th December 2014 the nation’s football family rallied round and our membership soared over the next few weeks as fans of other clubs gave their one off support to HUST and we are extremely thankful for this. Monies from these memberships and donations have helped us buy our initial £50,000 of shares in the new Hereford FC.

HUST is alive and kicking and to date well over 500 members have either joined or rejoined in the past few months to support our efforts to help Hereford FC rise through the divisions and regain Football League status. Almost 50% of our members live outside of the County so we want more local supporters to pick up a membership form from the Reception desk by Addisons Bar, or join via the Supporters Trust website. It is £10 for adult membership and £1 for Juniors. HUST needs you!

The new Board are Andy Carr, Russell Cheesley, Tristan Edwards, Craig Goodall, Mike Langford, Andy Swift, Richard Tomkins, Chris Williams and Frank Williams.
Peter Davies has kindly agreed to continue as Minutes Secretary.

There have already been 3 HUST press releases on the Supporters Trust website so please log in for the latest updates.

50/50 Prize Draw……Bumper Prize Pot today!

We have had a flurry of home games over the past few weeks but the sales of 50/50 tickets remain fantastic. Our grateful thanks for your ongoing support.
Congratulations to our latest winners, being Terry Jones, Keith Lynham, Roydell Thomas, Lucy Bufton, Simon Drew, Clive Scott, Alex Wright, Wendy Lambert, Kerry Johnson, Mark Rumball, Michael Prosser, Ray Munday and Ian Rae. Their support and that of every person who buys a ticket is gratefully received and shows the warmth for our new Club. Today will see Salisbury and a full house so a bumper prize pot and some cider kindly donated by Westons Cider.

Tickets could not be sold without the ongoing commitment of a great band of helpers who turn out in all weathers. So thank you to Karen, Jean, Joanie, Derek, Andy, Nigel, Tom, Martin, Ian and Jeremy. To date we have raised over £16,000 for HUST funds which will be exclusively used to purchase more shares in Hereford FC.

You’ve got to be in it to win it!

Prize Bull Lottery

The jackpot currently stands at £1,000 following the recent win by Jerry McManus. It is an excellent way of supporting the HUST fundraising effort and you could win a big prize! Either pick up an application form from the Reception desk by Addison’s Bar or enter online via the Supporters Trust website.

It costs just £4.33 per calendar month or you can increase your chances of winning with an “any 4 from 5” option at £21.65 per month.

Supporting the fund raising activities of HUST in turn supports Hereford FC.
