Poochi Takes HUST Name To O2 Arena

HUST member and player Lewis Van Poetsch was flying the flag for HUST this weekend at the 02 Arena boxing on the undercard of Kevin Mitchell’s WBC World title eliminator.
Although Mitchell’s fight was a punch perfect performance, Poochi’s on the other hand was not so spectacular.
The fight was over before it even began really, as the first punch of the fight re broke Poochi’s already extremly vulnerable nose, and with 45 seconds left of round 2, the referee waved off the bout because of the profuse amount of blood streaming from Poochi’s face.
Poochi was gutted and said, ‘ I’m gutted, such a big stage and my nose caused me a world of trouble within the first few seconds, my nose is already broken and bleeds every time I box, so I was happy to carry on the fight and see it out til the end, but the referee could see that the blood was troubling my breathing and my punch output because of if and halted the bout in round 2, I feel upset about losing in such a way on this stage and my pride is dented slightly, but I’ll be back out again and proudly flying the HUST flag on 28th feb.
Poochi will fight again on 28th February, back to the small halls again up in Preston in  a bout contested over 4x 3 minute rounds.
Poochi again would like to thank you to all that have taken an interest in his boxing.
