Barnet Defeat Changes The Prediction League
Another uninspiring display at Edgar Street leaves many of the Hereford faithful despondent, perhaps the updated prediction league will be of some consolation although only a few managed to score points this game.
104 Competitors entered this round of predictions, with 69 going for a Bulls victory, 27 anticipating that points would be shared and only 8 correctly predicting a Bees win.
Of the 8 defeat predictors only Terry Jackins, ryanhufc & DannyHUFC correctly predicted the 1-0 defeat, 5 further predictors went for a defeat and picked up 3 points for this. 1 contestant got a bonus point for predicting zero Hereford goals, 4 competitors got the correct margin of victory (-1) and 16 predictors got the score the wrong way around. So only 24 competitors managed to score points overall.
So what has this done to our table you ask? Quite a lot actually, with a fair few red down arrows in comparison to the orange up arrows. The biggest mover was DannyHUFC who moved up 20 positions. At the top of the table Barney Rubble has extended his lead to 3 points from new second position player Terry Jackins who is equal on 45 points with Kick in the Bulls who occupies third position & 2 points ahead of 3 other competitors.
In the monthly table LoopyLou still leads the way, now on 16 points from 4 games this month, with 2 double points round to go, in joint second place for the month are ryanhufc, Barry the Hatchet & Brian McDermott who have all picked up 13 points so far in October.
There are a few additions to the prediction league page, most notable the inclusion of 3 booby prizes, at the moment TobyGriff13 (19th Position), thethinbull, HUFCKINGER, Snoopy & lilywhite (17 points) & GemmaLou1511 (worst continuous competitor) will all pick up a prize. The table is up to date and over on the Prediction League page so go take a look and let us know how you are getting along via social media or the internet forums.
The DOUBLE DOUBLE POINTS round begins next Saturday for the FA Cup trip to Hornchurch next Saturday, followed by the final game of the month away at Salisbury the following Thursday, so it’s a great opportunity to climb up the table for all competitors with up to 20 points available from the next two games.
