A Win? Is it all going right? – Prediction League Update

Hereford United Football Club actually won a game!!!!!!!!!! Convincingly too, Southport were the unlucky souls who finally felt the rage of the wounded Bulls, and the other 91 visiting supporters were I expect like me, glad they made the trip! We scored 3 goals for the first time this season, and Mr Dyer is becoming the kind of player we need!

We had 91 predictions for this game, 57% of which happily predicting the Bulls win, 27% thinking we’d leave Merseyside with a solitary point, with 16% going for a win to the guys in Yellow & Black, unlike last Sunday, this was not the case against our Orange Men.

Out of the 91 Predictors, 1 competitor believed we could not only score 3 times, but also keep a clean sheet, well done Pricers Princesses who has picked up the maximum 5 points for this match, he was joined by 50 more optimists who went for a HUFC victory, all picked up 3 points for this. In terms of bonus points, only 6 were obtained by the brave souls who felt that Saturday would be the day when we’d score 3 goals, whilst no points were awarded for the margin (+3) or the inverse score-line.

So what has this done to the table, I hear you scream! Well it’s all interesting up at the top, Barney Rubble is still in the lead but only on the basis that he has predicted more correct score-lines than Terry Jackins & ROGER LUNDBERG as all 3 are on 66 points, falling to just 1 point behind in fourth position is DORSET BULL, who is a further point ahead of Kick in the Bulls, amazingly the top 10 are separated by just 6.5 points, tight stuff. Our biggest mover was Lexan who has jumped 14 positions up the table after picking up 4 points with yesterday’s result.

The monthly table is starting to take shape with Movember over half way complete. My Mo got compared to Rufus Hound yesterday, I hope yours is getting more favourable comparisons! It’s BenSmithsDislocatedShoulder now leading the way with 17 points so far this month, with a 1.5 point cushion to previous month leader GemmaLou1511 who is a further 1.5 points ahead of St Albans Bull, Arch of Lemner & Podge who all have 14 points this Movember. With four games to go and 30 points still available to grab, it could be any competitor being awarded our Monthly Prize.

Our current end of season booby prizes are filled by, Ruralbull (17th position), thethinbull & Adi.HUFC (21 points) & Stylabull (the least successful continuous competitor).

Our next game is away at Lincoln on Saturday, and we’ll be taking all predictions for that match right up until kick off on the 23rd. So the table is up in the usual spot on the Prediction League page, whilst in other Trust news, our board was elected on Thursday evening which followed by an open forum, we are really hoping to push forward with our activities in the coming weeks and months and look forward to representing our members who can get in contact with us to let us know how they want the Trust act, or indeed if you have the will, desire or skills to help out on any of our sub-groups please let us know to get involved with the Hereford United Supporters Trust.
