International Women’s Day

Today we celebrate the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women.  We are delighted that we have women representing our football community with the Supporters Trust, Hereford FC and our local County FA, from directors, staff, volunteers and fans.

“Richard Tomkins, HUST chairman and FSA National Game rep says: “The FSA strongly supports women in football both as fans and players. It calls for fair and courteous treatment of women throughout the game. Its Fans Led Review calls for equal treatment of the women’s game. The FSA has admitted representatives of the women’s game to its National Council on equal terms to the other members of Council.

At a regional level the South West Supporters Trusts Group reports that the Exeter City Supporters Trust, together with the Torquay United Supporters Trust have agreed to be joint sponsors of the Devon Women’s Premier Cup Final between their two respective women’s teams on 22nd April 2022.”

The theme for International Women’s Day 2022 is, “Gender equality today for a sustainable tomorrow.”
