HUST Call For Boycott With 95% Voting In Favour
The Hereford United Supporters Trust (HUST) will be recommending that it’s members, and the wider fan base, boycott Hereford United after over 95% voted in favour of the move in a poll of members.
HUST have been given a crystal clear indication of the feelings of it’s members with the vote result, and will ask all supporters to not attend home matches, take up advertising and sponsorship with the club, or participate or contribute to any event held at Edgar Street or to the financial benefit of Hereford United until the owners of the club make good with the promises to pay the staff and players, meet all football creditors, settle the debts owed to Herefordshire Council, and settle all outstanding winding-up proceedings.
The boycott is effective immediately.
Tommy Agombar has made repeated promises to settle these debts, and insists that he has plenty of money to meet these demands, yet has consistently refused to meet deadline after deadline leaving the membership little choice but to make this boycott move after just six weeks of his ownership.
We would like to state that any protests HUST may organise during the boycott period will be peaceful and dignified. We will not harass any fan of the club that chooses to continue to attend and we encourage all fans to respect their fellow fans’ opinions no matter how strongly people disagree.
