HUST 50/50 Draw finishes the season strongly

Hereford fans showed their support for the HUST-run 50/50 match day draw by purchasing the equivalent in tickets of over 87% of the attendance at the Royston match. Prizes of £400, £200, £100 and £75 were paid out.

The appeal of the club is country-wide and beyond, with exiled supporters maintaining their interest. Winner at the County Cup match was Anne Wynne (pictured), who came down for the weekend from Doncaster.

Currently run by HUST, half the proceeds of the 50/50 match-day draw are given out in prizes, and half go into shares purchase in the football club by the Supporters Trust. Thus, every supporter who buys a ticket is contributing to the growth of HFC as a community club.

The HUST chairman and 50/50 volunteer Richard Tomkins said, “The importance of supporters having a big stake holding in their club has been proven time and again, and we are most certainly future proofing during these good times. Despite regularly achieving over an 80% take up level with some new ideas and initiatives HUST intends to extend the reach of the 50/50 and match-day draws still further in the future”.

Over £45,000 in prize money has been won by supporters over the last two seasons, with in excess of 180 winners to date.
