Corporate Member Feature – Hanco Agricultural

HUST is pleased to have had renewals from our corporate members as well as individual members this season. Here we feature Hanco Agricultural, who are countrywide distributors of bulk feed silos and livestock drinkers.

Nestling in the picturesque surroundings of Woolhope, our reporter caught up with Merle and John Hancock as they prepared an overnight shipment to Cornwall. “We import our products from Italy and Germany. Glass fibre construction is the key. We’ve been trading here since 1978.” says John.

Pictured receiving our corporate member’s certificate are Merle and John. Both are very big Hereford United / Hereford FC fans. John has a collection of badges and shirts second to none. “It’s a continuation of United as Hereford FC” John believes. “My first match was in 1948 against Worcester City. I’ve been a regular at Edgar Street ever since”. His favourite match? “5 February 1972, Hereford United 2 Newcastle United 1” he gleefully replies. “If you don’t know what this club and these supporters are about, just watch that recording a few times. I lost my voice that day!”.

John and Merle are hopeful of continued progress and wish the team well in regaining the club’s place up the football ladder.
