Community Social Inclusion Project – Off To A Successful Start

HUST is delighted to announce that the recently launched Social Inclusion Project has had a successful start. With an initial £1000 pledged at the start of the project, HUST can confirm that with the support of Exiled Bulls fans from the USA, Hong Kong and around the UK including a consortium of fans pledging over £500 between them, that figure is now already over £3000!

The initial £1000 allowed for “Pay It Forward” Seats at Edgar Street to be offered for FREE to disadvantaged fans in the local Community. We were delighted to be able to offer an opening 5 seats for the first home match AND allocate 5 tickets for each and every game for the remaining 23 matches of the season.

HUST, in partnership with Hereford FC, have initially been able to support attendees from the local Refugee Community, Veterans from First Light Trust and clients from Herefordshire Mind.

As the word spreads and more agencies get involved, to refer clients into the project, we look forward to hosting more of our local community in the future.

Since its inception, the goal was to be able to offer 10 Seats by the end of the season, as more exiles pledged to the project. We are delighted that within 3 Home Matches we have already met that target and we are now in the position to offer TEN tickets per home match, for every match til the end of the season. This equates to being able to support OVER 200 recipients of the free tickets. In addition, each one of these tickets has the opportunity to have a carer/support buddy that any recipient needs to bring with them for support, on the day.

We believe we are the only Club in Non League to offer this support for the local Community, and, as such, were delighted to have the project showcased in the Non League Paper, a few weeks ago.

A huge THANK YOU to all the fans that have pledged their support to the project so far. Those who have benefited, to date, have been thrilled to have the opportunity to join us at Edgar Street.

Malcolm and Ian, two veterans from First Light Trust had a great day and complimented us on their social media as being a great initiative.

We are still taking pledges from fans to give yet more opportunities to those who are disadvantaged in our local Community. There is no limit to the amount you can pledge, Donate here: https://www.hust.org.uk/donate/

If you represent a local community organisation with clients who would benefit from a day out at “the football” and enjoy a matchday experience, we are keen to hear from you. Please complete the online form to register: HUST SOCIAL INCLUSION PROJECT

Thank you for your continued support
