Chris Williams Recognised By University College Birmingham For Excellence, With Three Awards
HUST member, Chris Williams, who was Chair of the Supporters’ Trust in the latter days of Hereford United FC, and Vice-Chair of the newly formed Hereford FC during its inaugural days, has been acknowledged by University College Birmingham (UCB).

Recognised for his influence on higher education through innovative teaching methods and leadership, Chris has received three Learning and Teaching – Rewarding Excellence Awards, which highlight his exceptional teaching skills and mentorship.
Also developing new Fellowship and Technical Member standards which were adopted in 2025, as part of his role as Chairman of the Professional Standards Board.
Professor Williams has brought his industry experience, as a client project manager into academia, enriching the curriculum with industry-integrated teaching methods.
He is also known for supporting employer collaboration, which has influenced curriculum content across various qualification standards.
A UCB spokesperson said: “Chris’ dedication to educational excellence and professional development not only enhances institutional standards but also prepares students for success in their careers. This commitment to innovation and leadership sets a benchmark in the field of education.”
