Bulls Fans United at MandM Edgar Street Stadium Yesterday ||  Red Card To Racism

HUST was delighted to support a group of its members who wanted to do something to SHOW RACISM THE RED CARD following the recent incident at our FA Cup match at Sporting Khalsa last week.

Owen Bucher, Ash Jones and Liam Jones, led by Matty Rowe, organised the banner and the printing of the red cards for everyone to show ahead of the National League North match vs Worksop Town.

It was great to see RED CARDS held high around the stadium and not only by fans!  Paul Caddis, Hereford FC Manager was keen to involve his staff and players alongside our Junior Bulls. Even our mascot, Edgar The Bull, joined in to spread the message that Racism is not welcome at our Club.

The GoFundMe set up to support this campaign has a remaining total of £1100 (after expenses and fees) which will go to a designated Charity of choice by the Sporting Khalsa goalkeeper, Ravan Constable.

Richard Tomkins, HUST Chair said “What a brilliant show of support from our fans . We all felt powerless when we left Khalsa at 5 o’clock last week, yet supporters have turned this around. Each one of us has a responsibility. If you hear discriminatory language and it’s your pal, tug their sleeve and remind them “We don’t do that anymore”. Else draw the attention of a steward. Out of all this upset there can be positive change”.

To paraphrase John F Kennedy, “Ask not what your Club can do for you, but what you can do for your Cub”.

We are thrilled that this has been amplified far and wide and has even reached Ged Grebby, CEO of the Charity, Show Racism the Red Card, who has congratulated us all on X!.

This campaign has given fans an opportunity to come together in a united front against racism in our Club, to allow us to move forward in a positive supportive way for each other and all the footballers we have the pleasure to meet along our journey.
