A Thank You to HFC from the Exiles.

I would like to place on record the sincere thanks of exiled HUST Members to The Football Club and its staff.

One of the concerns i have had for some time is the exclusion of membership of HUST who reside outside the HR Postcodes.

This came to a head with the sales of tickets for the Hartley Wintney FA Vase game. Tickets could only be collected from the ground in person, i remember queuing from the Blackfriars End to get mine. However, many exiled Season Ticket holders are not regular attendees but bought their tickets to boost the Club’s income during its formative months. Many of these were able to get tickets from the host Club

Thanks to some excellent decision making by the Club and great P.R. by Jamie Griffiths and Chris Ammonds  in particular, the problem has been avoided at the Vase semi-final stage.

Exiled Season Ticket holders were given the same chance to get tickets as other Season Ticket Holders by postal application. As a result over 40 exiles guaranteed themselves a place in the sell-out crowd.

The away leg ticketing arrangements pose different logistical problems . The decision to hold back sales to Season Ticket holders until the morning of the first leg gives the exiled Season Ticket holders who are travelling to Edgar Street an equal chance of getting a ticket albeit having to make an early start.

I think that this is the best resolution possible under the circumstances.

The hard work of the Club Staff already mentioned, coupled with the excellent representation of the HUST appointed directors of HFC has made this happen.

In particular, Chris and Jamie have kept me appraised, as your representative, of the process at every stage. Nothing is ever perfect but this is as close as the Club could have got in this instance.

Thank you all
