For those unable to attend the Continental Star game (or buy a programme), here is HUST Treasurer Mike Langford’s regular news update.

Fans Forum

Many of the topics discussed at the Fans Forum on Friday have been put on Bulls News and our thanks to Organic Bull for the coverage.  However there were numerous comments about the timing of the forum saying that it was not a good time to hold one when the team were on a 12 match winning run and top of the division!

HUST Treasurer Mike Langford first discussed the idea of a forum with Peter Beadle on the coach back from Heanor Town on Saturday 5th September and with Mike imminently going away on holiday for a couple of weeks, then discussed dates upon his return.

Friday 23rd October 2015 was the date that suited Peter and the winning run is a bonus.  Long may it continue!  We hope to hold further Fans Forums during the season and they will occur regardless of what is happening on the pitch.  We want to bring supporters closer to the club, manager and players, something sadly missing the past few seasons.  Let’s all embrace the good news position we currently enjoy.

Our thanks to Peter and club captain Joel for giving up their time and Keith Hall and James for their help on the evening.  Also to the many fans who attended, sent in questions or asked them on the night.

What did I get for my £10 Trust Membership in 2015?

A question asked at the AGM.  So where did his £10 go?   Well it helped do the following:

  • Enabled HUST to buy £50,000 of shares in the new Hereford FC.
  • Supported the finance & administration to get the new team off the ground & into step 5.
  • Three representatives of HUST becoming Directors on the Hereford FC Board.
  • Bought the UITC under 18 team home and away strips for this season.
  • Enabled donations to be made to local clubs who had helped support our new beginning.
  • Reduced prices at games to £1 for Junior Members.
  • Most importantly the continuation of professional football at our beloved Edgar Street.

Not bad for £10.  Seems excellent value to me!

Membership Renewals

Renewals are due and your membership will run through to the AGM in 2016.  Membership is £10 for adults and £1 for juniors and can be made online via Paypal or by cheque to HUST at Edgar Street Athletic Ground, Edgar Street, Hereford HR4 9JU.

HUST Commemorative Share Certificates

Treasurer, Mike Langford is now back from holiday so share certificates will be available after every League game.  He has been inundated with e-mails confirming names to be put on Share Certificates but there are still many who have yet to make contact.   If you have donated a minimum of £50 either in one sum or in instalments, could you please make contact with him on treasurer@hufctrust.co.uk and state the exact name/names you want on the certificate.  The response has been tremendous and shows the excitement and enthusiasm for our new club.

It is not too late to help by donating and details are on the HUST website.  Every pound donated will go towards HUST’s share purchase in your Hereford FC.

50/50 Draw Tickets            

You have to be in it to win it!

Congratulations to Philip Clifford, Leon Roberts and Carlton Rowlands for winning prizes at the Long Eaton game.  Half the monies collected go to HUST towards share purchase, the rest into the prize fund.  We have a willing and enthusiastic band of sellers encouraging you to part with your money but a few more helpers would be welcomed so that we can maximize the important income this produces.  Ideally we would like to have a long list of volunteers so that sellers can be put on a rota, the more the merrier!

If you would like to help and sell tickets on home match days between 1.30pm and 2.50pm, as we don’t want anyone missing the action on the pitch, then please contact Mike Langford at treasurer@hufctrust.co.uk

Prize Bull Lottery

The jackpot continues to rollover and is now £4,300 for anyone who can pick the 4 numbers drawn each Monday evening.  To ensure that you support HUST and stand a chance of winning on a weekly basis please set up a standing order either from your bank or via Paypal.  Full details are on the Supporters Trust website.

The cost is £4.33 per calendar month or you can increase your chances of winning with an “any 4 from 5” option at £21.65 per month.  Supporting the fund raising activities of HUST in turn supports Hereford FC so please do join with the chance of winning a large lump sum!
